Upstate Wedding Trio— Greenville, SC
The Upstate Wedding Trio is a great choice if you need a single string player, or two string players with piano. Sarah Rogers/violin, and Sarah Plyler/cello have been trained at two of the state's premiere arts schools— the Greenville Fine Arts Center, and SC Governor's School. If you have your wedding music planned and need a soloist, or you need someone to play the Pachelbel Canon, then contacting Sarah Plyler or Sarah Rogers would be a great start. Or perhaps you want the whole trio, which includes pianist Don Shabkie, whom you can find elsewhere on this site.
To help you make your decision, feel free to listen these artists play selections of violin and cello favorites. Just go to the links at the bottom of this page.
Sarah Plyler is an active chamber musician in the Upstate area of South Carolina. She has studied music in Germany, Austria, and the United States. Locally she has performed at the Peace Center, the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, and various churches. A graduate of the SC Governor’s School and Georgetown University, Sarah has played for weddings and other events for the past fifteen years.
Presently she plays regularly for the Trinity Presbyterian Church chamber ensemble on Sunday mornings, and performs occasionally at the Westin Poinsett Hotel. In fact this photo shows Sarah playing at the Westin Hotel, accompanied by Don Shabkie.
A junior at the Fine Arts Center, Sarah Rogers has presented solo recitals, and played in numerous performances in the area. She plays first violin for the Trinity Presbyterian Church ensemble, and appears there many Sunday mornings out of the year.
